Currently there are a great variety of speedway divisions
racing in Australia. The Queensland Saloon Car
Association
inc (QSCA) represents the Queensland based competitors
including Super Street. Super Street are a Performance
level class incorporating 4 and 6 cylinder sedans for those
who like some extra power under their right foot.
There is approximate total of 40
registered cars in Queensland. The Queensland Title
this season is to be held over 2 nights at Mothar Mountain
in Gympie on the 25th and 26th of January 2009. A very
strong rollup of cars is expected this 2008/2009 season.
The rules for Super Street are
restricted in some areas, to enable a fairer, more evenly
matched class to help create the title of a "budget" acing
class. Racing rubber is permitted, aerodynamic aids or
wings are optional, all cars must have a passenger,
commercial pump fuel must be used and fuel injection is
allowed as well as engine modifications.
